Our Place on the Creek
Whisky Chitto Canoe Rentals is situated on the Whiskey Chitto Creek, sometimes called Ouiska Chitto Creek, northeast of Lake Charles.
One of Louisiana’s hidden gems, Whiskey Chitto Creek is a timeless attraction, with gently flowing waters and white sandy beaches scattered throughout the journey.
Adventure on the Creek
The adventure begins at Uskichitto Retreat Center, located 590 Retreat Road, Leblanc, LA, 70651. You'll embark on a scenic four and a half-mile journey down the Whiskey Chitto Creek. Expect the trip to span three to five hours, depending on breaks and paddle speed. The landing and pick-up zone is the boat launch, located at the Hwy 190 bridge (the first bridge you come to!). Wanna spend the night on the river? No problem! Just ask!
Time on the Creek
We are open for business on Saturdays and Sundays, sending canoers on the river from 7am-12pm. We begin picking up canoers from 2pm-5pm.
